Rope Access Services in Dubai, Abu Dhabi and the UAE
Your building has a problem forty floors up. The quote for scaffolding came back at a number that made your finance director laugh, and the cradle has been out of service since the last inspection.
We get there on rope, in a morning.

The short version
Vertex Plus runs IRATA-certified rope access teams across Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Sharjah. Facade cleaning, glass replacement, sealant renewal, inspections, lighting, rigging, banner installation, confined space work. No scaffold to erect. No cradle to wait for. No lobby closed for three weeks.
Tell us the building and the problem. We walk the site, price the drop and send you a written method statement, at no cost.
What rope access actually replaces on your building
Rope access is a complete access system: planned anchors, certified rope, independently assessed technicians and a written rescue plan for every drop. It is not a shortcut.
What it replaces is the cost and the disruption.
Scaffolding takes days to erect, days to strike, and blocks whatever it stands over. A cradle needs a working track, a valid inspection certificate and a technician trained on that specific unit. Rope access needs anchors and a team.
For most facade work on a UAE tower, the drop takes less time than the scaffold would take to build.
Where rope access is the right call:
- Facade work above the reach of a water-fed pole
- Buildings where the cradle track does not cover the full elevation
- Occupied towers where you cannot lose the lobby or the podium parking
- Single-panel repairs where scaffolding costs more than the fix
- Inspections that need a technician within arm's reach of the defect
Where it is not: heavy material handling, work needing a stable platform for hours, and any elevation with no viable anchor point. We tell you that at the survey rather than after you have signed.
Our rope access services
Facade and window cleaning
High-rise window cleaning and full facade washes on scheduled cycles. Dust, salt and sand do not wait for your annual budget, so most towers we maintain run on a fixed cycle rather than a call-out.
Facade maintenance and repair
Sealant application, silicone works, window glass replacement, window vinyl seal replacement, concrete repair and epoxy injection, painting, anti-bird netting. Perished sealant is the quiet cause of most facade leaks — we rake out the failed joint, prime it and gun in a clean line.
Inspection and condition surveys
Close-proximity facade inspection with defect mapping and photographic records. Cracked sealant, staining around frames, glass damage, corrosion, spalling. You get a report you can hand to a consultant or a board.
Systems installation and rigging
Facade lighting, telecommunication systems, signage, cladding alignment, ducting, steel erection and rigging.
Specialist access and installations
Banner and artwork installations landed exactly where they belong, at height. Difficult structure and heavy panel installations in positions no lift can reach.
Confined space access
Our confined space team is independently trained and assessed, including breathing apparatus. Tanks, shafts, voids and vessels.
How a Vertex drop runs, step by step
Survey the drop
We walk the building, check the anchors and price the work off what we can actually see — not a guess from the pavement.
Method statement
You get a written RAMS and rescue plan before anyone clips in. Nothing happens on your building without it signed off.
Work the rope
IRATA-certified technicians run the job floor by floor, so tenants keep working and the lobby stays open throughout.
Hand over clean
Photographic sign-off, site left tidy and the documentation filed — ready for the next inspection or drop.
Rope access vs scaffolding vs cradle
| Rope access | Scaffolding | Cradle / BMU | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Setup time | Same day | Days to weeks | Subject to track and certification |
| Disruption | Minimal — no ground footprint | High — blocks access below | Low, where the track reaches |
| Best for | Targeted repairs, inspections, cleaning cycles | Long programmes, heavy materials | Routine cleaning on equipped towers |
| Coverage | Any elevation with viable anchors | Full elevation | Only where the track runs |

Safety, certification and compliance
Every Vertex technician is independently trained and assessed by IRATA. Every supervisor holds IRATA Level 3 and is first aid trained. Every job runs under Level 3 supervision. No exceptions, no “the supervisor is on another site today.”
Vertex Plus is ISO certified. Our confined space team is independently assessed on breathing apparatus, and our fall prevention team is an authorised installer of fall arrest systems.
Before work starts you receive:
- A written risk assessment and method statement (RAMS)
- A site-specific rescue plan
- Technician IRATA certification records — verifiable directly with IRATA
- Insurance documentation
- Anchor and equipment inspection records
If a contractor cannot produce those five documents before mobilising, do not let them on your roof.
